General meeting
The first Inaugural meeting was held at In service Training Institute Gannoruwa Sri Lanka on -10th 11th June 2005 with participation of Director General and team of scientists from of Rural Development Administration Korea and about 75 members from Sri Lanka participated at this event.
2nd General meeting with SriLanKoRDAA day was held on 21st Jan 2007 at Plant genetic Resources center Gannoruwa Peradeniya. A Korean and Sri Lanka agricultural machinery display was also held on the same day. The His Excellency the ambassador of Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka participated as the chief guest of the occasion.
3rd Annual General Meeting and the with opening ceremony of the rice research and demonstration center at Polonnaruwa will be held on 22nd June 2007. The Hon MaithreePala Sirisena Minister of Agricultural Development & Agrarian Service is the chief guest and His Excellency the ambassador of the republic of Korea Mr. Kwon Yung Dal is the guest of Honor at this event.
RDA Centenary celebration
The President Prof Kapila Goonsekere and Treasurer Dr. W M W Weerakoon participated for RDA Centenary celebration in Korea during 28th Aug to 2nd Sep 2006.
Opening of SrilanKoRDAA office
SriLanKoRDAA office was opened at ASDA secretariat on 6th Jan 2006. Mr. J A Lapitan the Vice president of PHILKORA participated at this occsion. This office was shifted to Extension and Training Center in Jan 2007.
Project proposals
Five project proposals were submitted and two were approved by the RDA Korea for the implementation from 2007 to 2009. They are Rice research demonstration & training farm at Polonaruwa and Vegetable research demonstration & training farm at SeethaEliya.
SriLanKoRDAA also submitted a Proposal to CGIAR as a Civil Society Organization for rice technology transfer activities in Sri Lanka
SrilanKoRDAA was able to process papers for Getting two experts from KOICA to work on two training centers. These experts are expected to assume duties in Jan 2008
